As a postdoctoral research fellow at UCSB-UCLA BioPACIFIC MIP, I make new biomaterials by leveraging computation and cheminformatics. I have over 5 years of experience in developing statistical mechanics models to study the physics of soft matter systems, with a focus on charged and polymeric systems. My mission is to uncover new scientific principles and translate them into new technologies and materials that can tackle challenges in energy, environment, and health. I have led internal and external collaborations, delivered effective scientific solutions to industry partners, and mentored early career scientists. I also have a passion for science policy and outreach, and have won grants and awards for my activities in this area.
