I successfully completed the Salvation Army discipleship program known as Revolution Hawaii, dedicating nine months to homeless outreach, children and teen ministry, and assisting individuals in need. Despite the challenges I encountered, I am proud of the significant personal growth and maturity I achieved during this transformative experience.

As a DECA participant, I gained theoretical knowledge in business management. Being involved in the Premier of Tomorrow program I created a global issue project by demonstrating my entrepreneurial spirit using marketing strategies. During a Social Media Marketing Challenge, I utilised social media marketing strategies to promote content. In addition, I took a marketing course through them DECA. I learned the most from the Stock Market Challenge, where we ran the simulation of financial portfolios and experienced real-life results. I understood the importance of the stock market on the global economy and how to trade stock in real-time.

As President of the Student Council at ISR I create a friendly community spirit increasing student interactions and their involvement in the greater community. Coordinating student council members, I am responsible for the ultimate success of the group. This year the team has collected money for Children’s hospital, hygiene products collection for a Mother Theresa House (a local soup kitchen for homeless people). In addition, we have fundraised for upper secondary events and middle school field trips. This experience has been the most humbling so far. I have learned how to serve people and showed me that it is important not to take things personally and work for a higher goal. My team benefits from my consistency and tenacity. Seeing ideas come to life has added to my confidence. Facilitating meaningful, successful projects reminds me that I am capable.
