I am a researcher and entrepreneur specializing in applying systems thinking and system dynamics as means to understand, and build insights into, an inherently interconnected world. I founded DESTA in 2018 to create a space for applying systems thinking and system dynamics modelling to real-world challenges. Here, I have been involved on projects of different forms using systems thinking and modelling-including research & consulting, participatory modelling, community-based research, theory of change development, teaching and capacity building, among others. Previously, I worked with TERI in the energy-economics modelling team on national-level decarbonization and the energy-water-food nexus; ATREE, on modelling social-ecological systems; and CPR and AIF on public system accountability. I have worked with diverse modelling methodologies including participatory system dynamics, optimization, IAM as well as Monte-Carlo methods. I also have a rich field experience across India working and volunteering with various grassroots organizations. I have 11+ years of experience working in the development and climate domain. I look forward to connecting with folks keen to think about issues deeply and differently and co-discover and implement systemic solutions.
