Supporting the revision and update of WHO guidelines and briefs on self-care interventions for health and well-being. Promoting the guideline among UN agencies, Ministry Officials, and civil society stakeholders at global, regional and country level.Providing technical support to WHO country offices in Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Burkina Faso for rapid introduction and scale-up of self-care interventions for SRHR in national health systems. Tasks included supporting development and monitoring of workplans, policy development, stakeholder engagement, developing tools and strategies for behaviour change as well as monitoring and evaluation. Identifying opportunities for tracking progress in developing and adapting WHO self-care policies and recommendations. Successfully included self-care indicators in the 2022 global Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (SRMNCAH) Policy Survey.Articulating the role of self-care interventions for SRHR to support (i) health systems and (ii) people-centred care in fragile and humanitarian settings. Coordinated an expert meeting on advancing the role of self-care interventions for SRHR in fragile and humanitarian settings.Developing a self-care competency framework to guide health and care worker education programmes. Provided technical inputs, liaised with external contributors and writing team, and coordinated feedback from technical advisory group and external review group.

Reviewing literature on current global best practices on MHPSS for adolescents, and mapping UNFPA country office current MHPSS programming for adolescents. Developed a summary of global literature review; mapped country office initiatives and provided recommendations for next steps.

Providing part-time maternity cover for the Coordinator, Global Working Group (WG) to End School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV). Coordinated the WG and global campaigns, developed SRGBV tools and advocacy material, and provided management, monitoring and quality assurance to a pilot programme in Sierra Leone.

Drafted five, long-form, opinion-style articles on the theme of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) to help counter misinformation about CSE currently circulating in east and southern, and west and central, Africa. The articles were written on behalf of key stakeholders, including ex-Ministers' of health, faith-based leaders, teachers, and young people.

• Providing technical leadership and capacity building to field offices on comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) and preventing GBV; access to safe, inclusive and health promoting education environments; and broader gender and HIV programming for adolescents.• Organised the first regional Multi Stakeholder Dialogue on CSE to promote the new technical guidance on CSE and to identify effective approaches for implementation. Organised the first multistakeholder consultation to understand the value of digital spaces to CSE programming and implementation. Initiated a comprehensive review of the status of CSE in the Asia Pacific Region, in collaboration with UNFPA and IPPF. Coordinated the development and promotion of the Asia Pacific campaign on CSE. Coordinated the development of a four-country report on school related violence and bullying on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.

Co-author of a monitoring toolkit for UNICEF HQ, New York, that will be used by UNICEF staff and partners globally. The toolkit will be a practical resource to assist with the selection and application of data collection and analytical methods for programme monitoring.

• Managing a Secretariat for a regional advocacy network of SRH organisations in Asia Pacific. Leading a change management process to define a new strategic direction and organisational structure. • Developing and coordinating regional and global advocacy, including at high-level intergovernmental meetings. Coordinating the development of advocacy briefs on Agenda 2030, CEDAW, Universal Periodic Review (UPR), and country-level factsheets to hold governments accountable to commitments relating to sexual rights. • Hosted the first and only region-wide civil society-led platform bringing together diverse communities of marginalized women who are living with and affected by HIV, to advocate collectively for improved health and human rights policies.
