Working within the Welsh Government funded Hub Cymru Africa partnership as the key contact for Fair Trade communities in Wales and the chief communications professionals at Fair Trade Wales. Day-to-day responsibilities: - Social media coordination.- Updating the organisations website, writing monthly blogs and newsletters.- Attending and presenting at UK and international summits. - Representing Wales on the National Campaigners Committee (UK-wide Fair Trade committee).- Dealing with resource requests and queries through e-mail and telephone. - Collating digital information and inputting to databases (media log, support tracker, social media analytics). Highlights: - Presenting at the International Fair Trade Towns Conference 2021 hosted by Swiss Fair Trade.- Helping organise an online event for International Coffee Day 2021.- Organising community events with local Fair Trade groups for Fairtrade Fortnight 2022 in all regions of Wales. As the National Coordinator of Fair Trade Towns in Wales, I represent our towns in regional and global meetings. I also sit on the National Campaigners Committee - a group of elected Fairtrade campaigners who each represent a region of the UK. Members feed into Fairtrade campaign development, and provide a voice for campaigners, so that they have a say in the Fairtrade Foundation’s strategy and planning. The NCC also informs the Foundation about what campaigners need and what their priorities are.
