Title: The Impact of Salt Tectonics on Mesozoic Rifting and Associated Sedimentation Pattern.Geophysical analysis and 3D geological modelling to study regional geology and target deep water reservoir in the North Sea (UKCS).Work scope: Seismic interpretation (PETREL, KINGDOM), amplitude/attribute analysis, 3D geological modelling (PETREL), petroleum play evaluation and risking.Mapped a detailed 3D seismic cube covering approximately an area of 300km square in the North Sea. Using structural geology theorisation coupled with geophysical tools, delineated the deposition history of target strata layers, identified major structural geology control on the deposition of sediments for a selected period (in which the target reservoir is embedded). Also built a 3D model that simulate the sediment transportation of that selected period to illustrate the formation of target reservoir.
