# Open-Domain Question Answering & Information Retrieval:1. Implemented a retrieval augmented generation (RAG) pipeline consisting of a multi-lingual dense passage retriever with vector index and a Seq2Seq reader to collect evidence across multi-passages, which improves recall@10 by 11% on IR and F1-score by 9.75% on MRC, compared to the previous system.2. Build a generative pseudo-labeling pipeline for few-shot domain adaption of passage retrieval and candidate reranking, which improves the nDCG@10 by 4.2-9.7, on various domains, including Fintech, medical and chitchat understanding.3. Build an tiny-yet-efficient passage re-ranker which is weak-supervised on a news clustering framework. The ranker reduces inference time by 13% while achieving the same performance as the previous model. 4. Design a paradigm to extract chain-of-thought (CoT) and zero-shot prediction from pretrained large-scaled language models and ensure the data quality with a re-thinking process.# Natural Language Understanding: 1. Propose and implement a document clustering algorithm with a text-encoder fine-tuned by contrastive learning that scales to millions of scale streaming data.2. Implement a GROVER-like conditional text generator as the backbone model for various news related NLP tasks, such as topic detection, title generation, article rewriting, and tag generation/extraction.3. Implement a Chinese typo correction system which weak-supervised from a boosting loop of automatic speech recognition and text to speech.4. Build ETL pipelines and general-purpose training pipelines with Kubeflow for our NLP team, involving automatic data augmentation / regularization, zero-shot / unsupervised domain adaptation and model evaluation.
