> I was lead to Engineering when my love for Physics and Math sent me to search for a field in which I could utilize those skills and interests everyday. When I came across the idea of Water Engineering, I knew I was interested because this was something in which I could benefit peoples lives while pursuing my interests. I am still open to exploring different focuses within Civil Engineering, as I continue to seek to discover the opportunities that are available the industry.> Engineering Technician: I am currently working as an Engineering Technician for Williams Engineering Inc. (WEI) in Rexburg, Idaho. WEI focuses mainly on Water Engineering. More specifically I have been able to participate in projects in Onsite Waste Water Systems and Floodplain Management.> Academic Advisor : I helped hundreds of students in the College of Physical Science and Engineering at BYU-I plan for their futures both for their time in school and beyond. I helped students solve problems in the online class planning program and helped to meet their needs and overcome personal challenges. I became a team lead and oversaw co-workers in this position. As team lead, I was involved in training, problem solving more complex issues, innovating to improve the program and leading the team to improve, including at times, disciplinary actions. > While my current aspirations focus on Water Engineering, I am open to exploring different opportunities in Civil Engineering. I simply love to learn and would appreciate and dedicate myself to any chance to make a change in the world. > Some of my favorite hobbies include: Hiking, snowboarding, swimming, traveling, learning about and connecting with those of other cultures, reading, Legos, gardening, and playing with dogs. I also enjoy making goals and pushing myself to learn new skills.
