I'm developing systems and embedded solutions with the Brazilian Network Information Center so we can measure and monitor the overall quality of the Internet in Brazil, starting at the users' homes and going all the way to our own Internet Exchange Points.

I've worked in Hilab's R&D team, trying to create new and exciting products, as well as iterating over their existing ones to try to improve them.

I had the chance to work as an Intern for Hi Technologies' Research & Development team, focused on solutions for the operation of the Hilab platform.Besides working on the interfaces we have with our equipment operators, I also had the chance to try to improve how our squad dealt with software bugs as well as operational bugs, trying to improve our response time as well as the quality of the reports.

I worked on a VoIP solution with Unify's Session Border Controller R&D team and a few other peers from CITS.Among my responsibilities, my main one was definitely analyzing network traces and software log from faulty VoIP scenarios, trying to determine the cause of the issue and fixing our solution was the source of the failure. I mainly dealt with software written in C++ and C, although I did have to exercise my shell and lua scripting skills every once in a while. I was also a key component in an international task force to test a couple of new features in various products, testing myself and also providing support when it was within my reach.

My main responsibility was to aid in the inspection and maintenance of electronic equipment for small airplanes (Weather Radars, Gyroscopes, and ELTs, for instance). I also had my first contact with both web and microcontroller-based development during a few side-projects I took part in.
