- Developing a frame for the wheel chair design to increase manufacturability and durability.- Performing Finite Element Analysis to iterate a lighter, minimally deflecting design.- Working with clients to measure and develop a safe, mobility-promoting design.- Prototyping multiple iterations of new features through extensive fabrication using MIG welding, hand tools, and manual mill.

My six month co-op has been a fantastic experience. Over the course of my time at Phoenix Tailings I designed and fabricated multiple systems including water filtration and recirculation, Arduino driven pressure and temperature monitoring system, a liquid carbonation fixture, leak-detection load cell system, and various 8020 safety enclosures. During my internship at Covaris, I applied 3D design, rapid prototyping, and electrical design to successfully complete two projects. The first project is a PCB test fixture used to confirm full operation of the PCB. In SOLIDWORKS, I designed the fixture that housed power supplies, dummy loads, a control panel, and various other components used to test the PCBs.
