Assistive devices are tools that allow people to access not only physical spaces, but social spaces as well. The right assistive device can help someone move freely, join local communities, and access public services. For many, it can have a transformative impact on their lifestyle. Unfortunately, assistive devices are difficult to find in many parts of sub-saharan Africa, and those that are available are often too expensive or poorly designed for people living in this region.
We want to change that. We’re making quality assistive devices so we can connect more people to the spaces around them. Ultimately, we want people to have the autonomy to take control over their lives, the dignity and confidence to engage with the world, and the community support they need to pursue their long-term goals.
