Why is it that when we look back over the course of both our professional and personal lives we can only name, at best, a handful of leaders that left an indelible mark on our lives? If leadership is truly a professional attribute then why can we only name a handful of leaders that didn’t leave an indelible mark on our lives? I've made my share of leadership mistakes through out my life both as a Naval Officer/Aviator and Corporate Officer. The recovery from these mistakes has helped me learn, apply, and continually grow in leadership. It has help me to become passionately focused on improving the human to human dynamics that plague aviators, individuals, teams, and leadership performance through evidence-based learning.My goal and passion is to help others to leave an indelible mark on those around them. Helping them to discover how to leverage individual strengths and motivations of teams to maximize performance wherever there are human to human interfaces through effective skill based transformative leadership communication. Authentic leadership requires that you understand what motivates each individual on your team or organization. In fact, it is impossible to be an effective leader of people if you do not have a clear understanding of their unique behavioral structure and the skill to authentically motivate them!
