I am a highly motivated and accomplished second-year Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) candidate at Washington University in St. Louis, with a projected graduation date of May 2026. I am deeply passionate about pediatrics and maternal health and am actively engaged in research within the WashU Occupational Therapy Maternal Health Collective, exploring interventions to support mothers who have experienced high-risk pregnanciesI have a strong commitment to advancing the occupational therapy profession through active involvement in leadership roles within student organizations, including serving as Treasurer of WashU's Student Occupational Therapy Association and Administrative Officer of WashU's Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity Chapter. Previously, I served as the AOTF Committee Co-Chair in WashU's SOTA chapter, demonstrating a dedication to promoting the organization's mission and increasing student awareness. Prior to pursuing my doctorate, you gained valuable experience as a Patient Care Technician at Columbia Saint Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, where you provided compassionate care to patients in a Step-down ICU and supported nurses and doctors during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic. I also currently work with infants as a childcare provider while in graduate school.I am a strong advocate for evidence-based practice (EBP) in occupational therapy and believe in the power of integrating research into clinical practice to deliver high-quality, client-centered care. My personal and professional experiences have shaped my compassionate and holistic approach to healthcare, and I am eager to make a lasting impact on the lives of future clients.
