Profile bio

About Kaitlin Stevens

I am a conservation crew member with American Conservation Experience, where I manage trail restoration and invasive species in the backcountry of the California State and National Parks. When my position is complete, I will continue attending Tidewater Community College, finishing my accelerated certificates in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Laboratory Sciences. I graduated early in the Pre-Law Bachelors of Science program at Virginia Commonwealth University. I broadened my studies with a sustainability and environmental concentration, as well as a minor in psychology. I also attended a research expedition as one of the chief scientists at the Coastal and Marine Education and Research Academy (CMERA) to tag sharks, rays, and skates, enhancing my knowledge, experience, and skills in the ecological world of sciences. The science of our environment should be examined through the scope of justice to create effective strategies to prevent environmental crimes and mitigate the damages done.
