Senior Marketing & Events Associate
CurrentAt the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, I wear multiple hats – from creative design and event planning to curriculum planner and a spare camp counselor called Miss Cheesecake. I’ve led and designed impactful initiatives in graphic design, video editing, content creation and a website migration, playing a crucial role in modernizing the organization's digital identity, advancing DEIA efforts, and empowering youth on topics like leadership, mental wellness, and getting outdoors. I direct social media and email marketing campaigns for retail seasonal promotions, as well as uplift our events, and Girl Scout programming. Each Fall and Winter, I lead the design strategy for paid ads during Fall Recruitment and Girl Scout Cookie season. The event planning side of my role involves organizing and executing each annual event including our top fundraiser, SheLeads, the Highest Awards ceremonies, facility open houses, board retreats, and CEO meetings. Virtually, I’ve developed and co-hosted webinars that equipped over 400 Girl Scouts with essential marketing skills for their Fall Product and Cookie Season businesses. One of my favorite initiatives I’ve enjoyed has been reviving the Girl Scout Advisory Bureau (GAB) alongside my colleague. Together, we created a curriculum focused on media literacy, public speaking, and communication skills featuring quarterly sessions with subject matter experts. Through this mentorship, the Girl Scouts evolve into the council’s brand ambassadors, representing GSGLA in interviews, key events, and marketing campaigns.
