Profile bio

About Kaitlin Laski

I’m passionate about bringing communities together and spreading awareness for meaningful causes. I thrive within the realm of purpose-driven work, event planning, digital marketing, and graphic design. I believe in the power of creating memorable experiences that make the world a better place. One of my most memorable projects was working at the OutFestLA Film Festival that celebrates LGBTQ+ film makers. At the opening night gala, I created a space for Hyundai Motor America which included a rainbow wrapped modeling runway featuring a slow-motion camera at the end. Attendees affectionately nicknamed it the “Hyundai Runway”, effortlessly integrating the brand into their experience while generating organic social media content. That was the moment it clicked for me where I understood what I do and why I love what I do. I was simply calling it the rainbow runway but the automotive’s name was associated with the joy it had brought to those around. I wanted to uplift impactful brands and make people smile. In my freelance business, Wildest Creations, I support small businesses and solo entrepreneurs. From crafting engaging social media content and building websites to helping them define their brand vision and making a lasting impression. In my personal life, I am a painter and dabble in improv theater and comedy for extra fun and to strengthen my vulnerability confidence. I am always involved in something in my community whether it's planning a fundraiser or supporting a friend’s stand-up set! Community is one of the greatest gifts we can give to one another. I am always open to have conversations and learn more about my fellow peers and companies. Want to hear more about my experiences? I think they're pretty cool. Senior Marketing & Events Associate

Current

Los Angeles, California, United States

At the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, I wear multiple hats – from creative design and event planning to curriculum planner and a spare camp counselor called Miss Cheesecake. I’ve led and designed impactful initiatives in graphic design, video editing, content creation and a website migration, playing a crucial role in modernizing the organization's digital identity, advancing DEIA efforts, and empowering youth on topics like leadership, mental wellness, and getting outdoors. I direct social media and email marketing campaigns for retail seasonal promotions, as well as uplift our events, and Girl Scout programming. Each Fall and Winter, I lead the design strategy for paid ads during Fall Recruitment and Girl Scout Cookie season. The event planning side of my role involves organizing and executing each annual event including our top fundraiser, SheLeads, the Highest Awards ceremonies, facility open houses, board retreats, and CEO meetings. Virtually, I’ve developed and co-hosted webinars that equipped over 400 Girl Scouts with essential marketing skills for their Fall Product and Cookie Season businesses. One of my favorite initiatives I’ve enjoyed has been reviving the Girl Scout Advisory Bureau (GAB) alongside my colleague. Together, we created a curriculum focused on media literacy, public speaking, and communication skills featuring quarterly sessions with subject matter experts. Through this mentorship, the Girl Scouts evolve into the council’s brand ambassadors, representing GSGLA in interviews, key events, and marketing campaigns.

Owner And Lead Artist

Wildest Creations

United States

Wildest Creations was created to empower individuals’ creativity - whether they’re an individual planning an event or an entrepreneur that needs a brand identity. This is my freelance business where I take people’s ideas and turn them into reality, weaving their narratives through design, custom illustration, websites, and events. As a creative, I’ve helped entrepreneurs such as Santa Cruz Harpist, Nadine Gregg, Life Coach, Lania Florio, Grief Coach, Angela DeSalvo with branding kits, websites, landing pages, and social media content. I also coach non-technical folks with learning the power of social media, email marketing, how to use tools like Canva and Google Suite, and more - empowering them in their businesses. As an event planner, I’ve worked with several weddings and revived a local small-town summer festival in Michigan. My assistance has ranged from planning, designing, gathering sponsorships, keeping teams organized, and ensuring day-of runs smoothly. This is a company that I run in my spare time, because I love to see people take the leap into the unknown and create awesome things. And sometimes, you just need a creative friend to make it happen. Your wildest creations matter.
