Hello! My name is Kaitlyn (Kaity) Barger, and I am a senior at Miami University in Oxford, OH majoring in Accountancy. I have always been fascinated by numbers and have a special interest in solving complex financial challenges, which is what drew me toward the accounting profession.Throughout my undergrad experience, I have taken a variety of courses related to accounting, finance, and economics. With these, I have also completed a busy season tax internship with PwC during my junior year. Working full-time alongside professionals in the field and tackling complex projects (tax provisions, compliance, etc.) has significantly prepared me to enter the workforce after graduation and I'm very excited to dive into a career in tax!I am currently finishing up my Bachelor's degree at Miami University, where I will continue to sharpen my accounting and professional skills before I graduate next May of 2025. During this time I will be focusing on expanding my knowledge of tax/auditing, networking, and studying for the CPA exam. After my graduation from Miami, I will be relocating to Tampa, Florida to rejoin PwC in the fall of 2025. I will also be working to pass all four sections of the CPA exam and beginning a Master's degree program in Taxation in order to achieve my goal of becoming a licensed CPA.Outside of school and work I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, and visiting national parks.
