• Counselor for the voluntary 6-for-1 treatment program at Baylor Women’s Correctional Facility• Conducts individual sessions with caseload within the treatment program biweekly at DOC discretion• Provides support to all clients within the program• Facilitates group counseling for the treatment program daily. Most group sessions utilize bureau-required curriculum• Completes intakes when new clients arrive to the treatment program• Completes SOAP/DAP notes in a timely fashion for Consent to Treatment, intakes, individual sessions, and group counseling sessions. The style of notes varies due to company requirements• Facilitates peer mediation between clients who are not getting along

-Monitored and logged the activities of up to 11 inmates at a time who were placed on Psychiatric Close Observation at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution -Communicated the behavior of inmates to coworkers during shift change-Performed administrative work for the Substance Use Disorder programs at BWCI twice a week (included but not limited to paperwork, filing, making copies, updating intake forms, creating client intake packets, and assisting counselors, supervisors, and director with program needs)

-Facilitates individual telehealth appointments with individuals who are required to seek sex offender counseling as required by their Probation or Parole-Communicates with my client's Probation Officers as needed, including but not limited to client updates and case management-Completes SOAP notes in a timely fashion-Attends regular supervision with my supervisor-Assists with marketing within the practice

-Stationed at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution-Monitored and kept a log of inmates on Psychiatric Close Observation-Monitored and logged up to 6 inmates at a time-Communicated inmates behavior to coworkers during shift change

During my winter semester, I interned at Mid-Atlantic Behavioral Health. I ensured providers saw patients with the correct insurance and of the correct age group, helped my employer with other side tasks, researched other providers and services in the area. I also observed both teletherapy sessions and assessments.

I helped answer questions, take payments, and answer the phone daily. My other duties also included working with customers one on one to schedule birthday parties and private events and cleaning the lobby to make it presentable. I have experience with creating brochures and flyers to advertise our services. I also score kept hockey games of all age levels which require attentiveness and the ability to multitask. This position also required quick thinking to solve any scheduling or technical issues.

-Tutored multiple middle and high school students in their Math and English courses-Created up with my own exercises for my students based on what they were learning in school-Showed students how to solve Math problems by hand and using a calculator-One student went up 70 spots in their class rank and received Honor Roll for the first time
