Hello, I'm Kait! I graduated from Emerson College Honors Program with a B.A. in Writing Literature & Publishing. I am the Associate Editor for Horizon House Publications. As an editor for two journals at Horizon House Publications, I streamline and facilitate the peer review process for both journals published by the company. I ensure the accuracy and stylistic consistency of each publication. I coordinate the editorial schedule for online articles and assist in the revision process. I work closely with authors and reviewers to refine articles, editing them according to AP style and house style. I edit and proofread both print and online content for the journals. I also assist in the production of copy for eBooks, newsletters, and social media marketing. In addition to my editorial responsibilities, I design graphics to promote content and events associated with the journals.I previously worked as an editorial intern for The Quarto Group, where I had the privilege of developing an in-depth understanding of the editorial and publishing processes through my work on a variety of nonfiction books across numerous imprints. During my time at Emerson College, I was involved in multiple campus magazines such as Atlas Magazine, where I held the position of editor-in-chief. I have written articles and creative pieces for Atlas Magazine, Gauge Magazine, and Wack Magazine while also working as a reader and editor. In addition to my editorial work, I am also an aspiring researcher and author. My most recent projects include two theses, which were critical components of my course studies at Emerson. My love of art, learning, and self-expression have motivated me to seek continued growth as an editor and writer, allowing me to address each text with precision, nuance, and attention to detail.
