-Treated diagnosis of dementia, Parkinson's, COPD, congestive heart failure, hip replacements, knee replacements, shoulder arthroplasty, external fixator, femur fracture, lower-extremity amputation, broken tailbones, spinal surgery, and covid-19.Maintained a caseload of 6-10 patients a day (provided treatment and documentation for each patient). Demonstrated effective time management techniques in order to produce a productivity level of 85-90% per day. Facilitated individualized treatment to patients ranging from ages 60 and up whose challenges involved physical, cognitive, and psychological impairments.Provided training for family and caregivers including gait belt placement, transfer training, functional mobility with AE training, and toileting. Shadowed supervisor in care plan meetings with families and rehab facility team. Developed treatment plan for lower extremity external fixator patient focusing on sliding board transfer, seated dynamic balance, weight-bearing as tolerated through the affected leg and ADL training (LB dressing and toileting) Safety assisted in using Hoyer-lift and sit-to-stand lift on Max A-DEP patients. Turned and positioned Max A patients to prevent pressure sores and maintain comfort levels. Worked closely with other professional team members including PT, OT, and COTA’s to maximize treatment time. Facilitated and led small groups of 2-4 patients focusing on dynamic standing balance and upper extremity strength and endurance. Challenged patients in dynamic standing balance/tolerance tasks involving midline crossing, weight shifting, and reaching outside of the base of support.Challenged hip/knee/and spinal precaution patients in ADL retraining involving the proper use of adaptive equipment, adhering to precautions during ADLS, functional transfers, and functional mobility.
