As a Strategic Planner at City of Newcastle, I work with a team of professionals to deliver strategic planning services for this emerging city. I assist in preparing and reviewing planning policies and instruments, assessing development applications, and conducting research and analysis on urban issues and trends. I also engage with various stakeholders, including the community, developers, and government agencies, to facilitate effective and inclusive planning outcomes.I am passionate about urban planning and design for communities with respect to their needs and cultural values. I graduated with a Master of Urbanism (Urban and Regional Planning) from the University of Sydney, where I have gained theoretical and practical knowledge on urban systems, governance, sustainability, and social justice. I am also an active member of the NSW Young Planners Committee and a Peer Mentor at the Planning Institute of Australia, where I contribute to the professional development and networking of young and aspiring planners. My ambition is to be a part of valuable initiatives and work towards creating liveable and sustainable environments for communities.
