Pia Nsw Women In Planning Network

Pia Nsw Women In Planning Network company information, Employees & Contact Information

"Despite an increasing proportion of women in planning, women continue to face gender bias in a variety of ways...as such, planning educators and professional planning associations have a responsibility to address the issue of gender inequity within the professions". The NSW WiPN [working with our national network of WIP networks] aims to increase gender equity in NSW planning. We also provide a space for all women in the planning profession to network and meet other like-minded professionals, discuss issues and find support for professional development from other women, as well as, advocate to increase gender equity in our profession, across all levels. We want to connect, inspire and support all female identifying women planners, and to advocate for and contribute to equitable and inclusive cities and regions. We come from a variety of backgrounds, experiences and locations across NSW - and we want a diversity of voices around the table. The Network is not a policy or decision-making body for PIA NSW but provides advice, information and ideas to the Division Committee for consideration. Any posts and/or comments on this page are the position of the individual and not of the Planning Institute of Australia.
