Worked as a tutor in a socioeconomically deprived area in Malmö. Tutored and mentored a group of five to ten youths together with two other tutors. Talked a lot about the future, motivation and not accepting a future that hasn't yet played out.

During the fall/winter of 2015 a lot of unaccompanied minors arrived to Sweden. I worked at one of many transit homes that were set up in Malmö by the state. Everyone carried the same title and helped out where ever help was needed. Ranging from kitchen duties, driving to the store, teaching Swedish, helping out with the asylum process to listening and giving support 24 hours of the day. Being an Au Pair means taking care of children, as well as helping out in the household. I worked as an Au Pair for a bilingual family (Swedish / Swiss German) for 15 months. The daughter of the family was 3.5 when I started and almost 5(!) when I worked my last day. Tasks ranged from vaccuming, prepping meals, play dates and most importantly teaching the little girl Swedish.
