At Stroke Foundation, I help connect people to timely stroke information and encourage healthy living by helping to define, design, and deliver online platforms for survivors of stroke and health professionals.My role in digital projects include:- Analysing research and workshop outcomes to help define the objectives and scope- Crafting concepts and polished prototypes to shape digital products - Synthesising testing and feeback to finalise designs - Developing content managable websites in Webflow- Creating analytics dashboards with Google DataStudio/LookStudio.Projects include delivery of a new website for young stroke survivors to access relatable information and support, a world-first microsite that supports healthy eating and exercising after stroke, landing pages for health professionals to engage in a project to improve stroke care.

As a UX & UI Designer, I translated user insights and business needs into layouts and interactions. By discovering the 'why' behind project objectives and user behaviours, I iteratively developed high fidelity prototypes of informative websites and online platforms to explore overarching concepts, detailed layouts, flows, copy, and visuals that would engage the audience. Client projects ranged from Government, to Not for Profit, to Safety, to Education, and often involved breaking down complex ideas and sophisticated data to present information in ways that are digestible to users at key points in their digital journeys.Key roles: Wireframes. Tokyo, Japan

While in Tokyo, I joined Deloitte Digital Japan's creative team and collaborated with business analysts, technical subject matter experts, and client representatives to help migrate and enhance an e-commerce checkout platform for a global confectionary company. Working closely with and mentoring a junior consultant, I crafted Axure prototypes to collaborate and share user flows and designs with project team members located across the globe.Key roles: User flows. Tokyo, Japan

My main role at Japan's largest e-commerce company was directing and managing web projects by liaising with producers, designers, and coders. This involved measuring website performance, creating wireframes and design briefs, monitoring progress, and ensuring scheduled launch of web pages and EDMs. I also had the opportunity to challenge the standard of Rakuten Market pages and mentored producers, fellow directors, and graduates in order to shift the focus from merchant-centric to customer-centric design. With the aim to elevate efficiency and standardise the quality of Rakuten Market category pages, I recommended UX tools and established a mobile-first design process to ensure responsive UI and content structure that reflect buyers'​ decision-making process. Websilk is where I got to hone my interface design skills. With Axure (prototyping tool) as my aide, I crafted interactive wireframes for web sites and applications. Simplifying complex ideas to form elegant solutions was my specialty. Visual design was also my department, including designing for accessibility (Level AA WCAG) and video production. Sometimes, I was lucky enough to work on projects where I could marry two things I love: 3D modelling and web design.By introducing Axure to the team, I was able to set up a collaborative design process where Producers, Designers, and Product Owners could simultaneously work on editing and enhancing prototypes.Key roles: Interface design. Having studied engineering and 3D animation, I was delighted when Rubicon Water approached me about creating a stylised 3D animation to describe how their automated irrigation system works. Later translated into 3 languages, this explanatory video is used for both sales and training.During this period, I also developed my creative flair by working with several website companies as their go-to designer.Key roles: Web design. I had been designing websites since I was twelve, but it was here that I learnt about user centric design. By getting involved in detailed wireframing and user testing, I came to see that design is much more than just visual appeal: it's about architecting solutions to address user and business goals. I won't forget that this is also where I met my professional soulmate, Axure, which is still one of my prototyping tools of choice.

As a part-time localisation typesetter, I proofread translations and laid out Japanese text onto marketing materials using InDesign. Occasionally, I translated English text into Japanese, from business cards to localisation of software.

While I was a mechatronics student, I helped to develop the graphical user interface of Arbiter's computer-aided design software in Java. In order to assist users understand the complicated parameter entry fields for designing and grinding mills, I created icons and vector images in Illustrator and CorelDraw to be used throughout the application.
