 Assess the student's stage of development (academic, career, and personal) and promote student growth by determining suitable developmental tasks; assist student in establishing realistic and attainable academic and career goals. Advise students on academic, career and personal issues; identify the educational and career options appropriate for each student and assist with the analysis of each option, including possible outcomes and their implications; if needed, refer student to counseling services; set up an action plan for the student to explore alternative careers and related majors. Monitor academic progress of students. Maintain all pertinent student information following university confidentiality policies. Check various forms for accuracy such as grade checks, overload petitions, curriculum changes; assist students in their completion. Assist students with admission and registration/provide guidance in course selection in keeping with the student's interests, values and abilities
