In constant pursuit of future technologies to better enhance shop floor work in areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Controls budget of new tooling as well as repairing damaged or obsolete tooling. Develops and designs tooling to meet special circumstances within specific work scopes to meet needs of technicians. Provides expertise and education to shop floor of how the blueprint is met through processes and why those requirements must be met.

Performs daily analyses of manufacturing processes for possible lean and kaizen bursts. Advises people leaders and business leaders on possible process upgrades by providing cost benefit analyses of the proposed manufacturing process changes. Provides continuous quality support to mechanics, operators, and fellow engineers. Fluent with reading engineering drawings and specifications and confident in making decisions on signing off nonconformances with tolerances in the thousandths of inches. Always looking for possible safety and ergonomic improvements throughout the processes and workplace.

Performs end-of-runway, post-flight, preflight, thru-flight, and phase inspections. Advises on problems maintaining, servicing, and inspecting aircraft and related aerospace equipment. Uses conventional or automated technical data to diagnose and solve maintenance problems on aircraft systems. Troubleshoots and maintains aircraft engines, hydraulic, and other related systems, structures, components, and related equipment. Removes and installs aircraft components. Conducts functional tests of repaired components and systems. Inspects aircraft structures, systems, components, and related systems. Interprets inspection findings and determines adequacy of corrective actions. Reviews maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports to ensure complete documentation. Performs staff and supervisory management functions.
