Student Process Engineer
Orem, Utah, United States
Working directly with Cubic Press and Process Engineers assisting in data collection and analysis utilizing Excel and JMP. Have had multiple opportunities to spearhead or work solo on various project designs using Creo Parametric to prototype and finalize designs for tooling, machine parts, part measurement devices, and even total fixtures utilized to improve the safety of press tooling changeovers. Participated in a Kaizen (Improvement) Fair for my designed and fabricated changeover fixture that removed the operators risk of injury during changeover as well as allowing any person regardless of age or size to complete the changeover of a 70lb die safely. It also cut the changeover time from an hour and a half down to 40 minutes saving hundreds of man hours for the company per year. The fixture was designed with a combination of self designed and modeled parts working with our in-house fabrication shop, as well as parts sourced from various providers such as McMaster. Took Six Sigma Black Belt course and passed ASQ Exam receiving a certified Brown Belt.
