Undergraduate Course Assistant
Current- Employed by the Department of Statistics and Data Science in the College of Natural Sciences, working for Dr. Kyong Joo Hong (SDS 301 and SDS 302F, Spring 2023/2024) and Dr. Matt Hersh (SDS 302F, Fall 2023/2024)- Assisted in student comprehension of introductory knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods, covering the following subjects: random sampling, principles of observational study and experimental design, data summaries and graphics, and statistical models and inference, including the simple linear regression model and one-way analysis of variance- Provided assistance in the form of answering questions and clarifying course content to students in lectures, and during lab sessions in which students used data analysis tools to perform statistical hypothesis tests and interpret their results- Assessed homework and lab assignments for students, offering in-depth feedback to highlight mistakes and increase their potential for avoiding similar errors on future exams
