The Learning and Development Team is a key function within the RHN and a vital lever in delivering organisational change and service improvement. As the L&D Manager, I work closely with the hospital senior management to ensure the learning needs of the organisation are proactively supported and that all necessary compliance of current legislation and regulatory requirements are met.• Oversee a team of ten, including two Business Partners, a Learning Academy team, and a Data/MI Officer, and an administrator, ensuring clear objectives are set and supported to deliver an excellent service• Develop and lead the overall L&D strategy which is based on the annual staff engagement survey and internal insights that specifically address current and future skills, competence requirements and behavioural needs of the organisation• Lead the Work-Based Learning centre (RHN Academy); Designing, developing, delivering/facilitating and developing the current offer to extend to Apprenticeship• Investigated and monitored organisational culture to identify and recommend changes to better support the achievement of learning and organisational outcomes • Lead on training and development for key stake holders; and also, leadership development across all levels of the organisation to effect long term change across RHN• Lead the development of the RHN’s learning management system, including the introduction of eLearning, working closely with the leadership team• Manage resources effectively, ensuring the department's key deliverables are achieved within the agreed budget• Build external partnerships that will strengthen the RHN’s place in its local community; and where possible generate income for expanding learning and development at the RHN
