After transitioning out of the United States Marine Corps in 2021, I began attending The Ohio State University full-time, where I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering. I am a junior and expect to graduate Spring of 2025. I am currently seeking a software engineering internship for Summer 2024. Prior to attending school, I served for over 9 years in the United States Marine Corps as an Air Traffic Control Communications Technician. I obtained certification on various FAA communications, navigational aids, and weather systems.During the last two years of my military career, I served as the Communications Section Work Center Supervisor, where I was responsible for the maintenance management of over $19 million worth of assets across 4 major Marine Air Traffic Control landing systems. I also served as the Key Management Infrastructure Manager, where I was responsible for the management of all Controlled Cryptographic Items for my unit. I have held several Quality Assurance positions, including Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) and Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR).My short-term goal is to gain a summer internship where I can apply my programming experience and problem-solving skills to relevant projects while simultaneously improving those skills by learning from industry experts. My long-term goal post-graduation is to apply my personal and professional skills to projects that will have a meaningful impact on the lives of our servicemen and women.
