Assisting clients with their geological needs; primarily with exploration drilling and database management

• Led a 1M ton open pit mining operation, focusing on ore quality and production, with anemphasis on safety, environmental, and health oversight in compliance with state andnational regulations.• Implemented a $4M cross-stream sampling system, enhancing ore grade control andcompliance with local regulatory requirements.• Managed SWPPP/SPCC permitting and liaised with New York State agencies to ensureregulatory compliance.

On a daily basis, I am responsible for ore quality control, production and exploration drilling oversight, taking representative and unbiased blast-hole samples safely, and analyzing for various chemical and physical properties using XRF, XRD, PLM, LOI, and magnetic separation equipment. I am experienced in core logging (NQ), cutting, crushing, and prep for laboratory analysis. I also oversee the daily production reporting, on-site safety training, blasting protocols, and short and long term mine plan communication with contractors. I am involved with several aspects of environmental monitoring including maintaining SWPPP and SPCC records, oversight of permitting while operating inside a state park, liaison with consultants, mapping and surveying. I also have some exposure to CER and budget planning, in addition to managing several projects on and off site. One of the most rewarding aspects of this role is being able to share the interesting geology within the Adirondack Park and discussing the complex relationship between economic mining and environmental sustainability with students of all ages/backgrounds during mine tours.

I was responsible for digitizing and updating all analytical records to create property-specific databases used for geologic and resource/reserve modeling. Using GEOVIA Surpac software, I also spent several months modeling kaolin and bauxite deposits within the southeastern US clay belt. During my time in this role I was also responsible for digitizing land, permit, and permissions documents into an easily accessible database which includes maps, deeds, permits, wills, communications, royalty paperwork, and other misc documentation. Whenever possible, I aided in core logging and analytical work in several drilling campaigns throughout Andersonville, Ga and Eufaula, Al in addition to confirming the geological models through field sampling within the mining areas.
