I've always been a reader and a writer and it is a huge part of my identity. I created my book review site, Books Etc., in 2010 as a way to showcases my love of books, reading, and writing. It has done that and more, as it has allowed me numerous opportunities to create and grow relationships with publishers and authors, whether they're independently published or international best-sellers.I am also currently the book reviewer for Niagara Life magazine, a Metroland publication.A love of writing contributed to my interest in a career in communications. I've written website, social media, and newsletter content and I've whipped up press releases and sponsorship request letters. I also have a creative streak which, in the professional world, has helped me design invitations, posters, newsletters, and annual reports in various programs. So how does all of this come together? Through a career in communications, marketing, publishing, events, or nonprofits. I have many skills and interests that would be helpful in so many different positions. And I will always, always have a good book to recommend!
