• Developed, presented, and advanced a half of a million dollar State of the City proposal on culturally responsive education and implicit bias training for teachers, which was adopted by the NYC Council and expanded by.
• Advise the Council Speaker and Council's Education Committee Chair on prominent education issuesResearch, develop, and present education resolutions to the 48 Council Members of the Democratic Caucus
• Prepare Council Members for committee hearings by developing questions for the administration, providing advice about education issues, and writing 20 page reports on the hearing’s respective topic
• Appointed by the Council as a member of the Sexual Health Education Task Force in order to assist advocates, researchers, and Mayor staff with improving sexual health education
