As a future medical scientist, I personally understand the need to support citizens in communities. In order to be successful, I have to effectively work towards prevention by spreading information and resources to the people in need. I have demonstrated this by engagement in multiple research experiences. I have been an intern in health analytics at the John Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab for two years (2021- 2023). I recently presented this research focused on zoonotic diseases at the AUC Data Science Symposium (September 2023). Currently, I am a sophomore health science major/computer science minor at Spelman College. I have been involved in Pre-Medicine organizations such as Women in Pre-Med, and the Minority Association of Pre-Med Students, the Health Careers Program, and the AUC Data Science Consortium. I value opportunities such as these, and continue to seek after career building experiences because they support my scholarly development. My interest specifically is medical research and experience in a laboratory setting.

  As an ATLAS Scholar at JHUAPL I Worked with web design in Plotly Dash that allowed for data visualization of health analytics. Prepared training data for Named Entity Recognition Model to recognize mentions of disease in text.
