As RBT, I collaborate with a Board Certified Analyst and other allied specailists to implement interventions which target reduction of maladaptive behaviors and teach functional life skills. Data is collected via CentralReach and is monitored through graphs and progress notes written daily. My instruction captializes off the client's natural environmment and discrete trial tasks to teach communication, social, and adaptive skills.

In this novel peer-to-peer coaching and mentoring program, funded by North Carolina state legislators, I worked with the executive director, life coach, and blogger, Gale Wilkins, to educate middle and high school students on what it means to be a life coach, setting goals, decision making, resilience, and more with the evidence-based curicculum provided. Lessons were provided to more than 200 Vance County students in the classroom setting at least twice a week. I assisted with administrative duties- preparing the lessons, developing interactive activities via Kahoot, gathering qualitiative data, and set-up of infromation around the school. I helped to facilitate two general assemblies totaling over 900 students on the topics of mental health and drug safety, in which the Board of Education, City Council, County Commissioners, and State Representatives were in attendence.

I provided learning materials for students regarding citation and formating guidelines. I collaborated with students to identify and correct weaknesses in grammar and assisted in the development and organization of content.

I worked with lead professor to coordinate qualitative research into the evolutionary psychology of mate selection by conducting experiments on self-presentation. This used the Fundamental Social Motives theory. I recorded, coded, and analyzed data from questionnaires via Qualtrics system gleaned from 300 students . I organized paperwork, including participant-informed consent waivers and research scope documentation.

I coordinated events between the New Independence Academy of Goldsboro, NC and East Carolina University’s service-based scholarship program on the university's campus. I managed the administrative logistics of event planning, including event booking, promotions, and scheduling. In this role, I accompanied the group in the transportation to events such as campus dinning, sports games, and theatrical performances, and hosted a successful craft night for the autistic children of the academy.

I accumulated 15 volunteer hours over the semester for a developmental psychology and dogs capstone course. Classical conditioning and positive reinforcement were applied to train dogs using a clicker and fresh treats. Both timid and active dogs commands such as, “touch” or “sit”, were led on walks, and recieved play time with their favorite toys.

As staff and youth leader of the 4-H Club, I collaborated with the directors to plan lessons teaching students healthy habits and to be active members in the community. I chaperoned students on eductaional trips to museums and a local farm. The students were also taught kitchen safety and how to prepare healthy meals.
