I am a Senior Engineer at Peoples Gas Light and Coke Company (PGL), a natural gas delivery supplier, which serves nearly a million residential, commercial and industrial customers in the Chicago area. PGL is a subsidiary of the WEC Energy Group, which is the largest electric and natural gas utility company in the Midwest region. I currently work in the Gas Compliance Department. My primary role is to facilitate gas incident investigations, record audits, and field and construction inspections, which are conducted by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC). Among other responsibilities, I construct various performance metric reports on a monthly basis to identify compliance improvements and failures. I also identify Code violations in PGL's processes when present, and have aided different groups in developing preventative actions. Prior to working in Gas Compliance at PGL, I worked in the Engineering Department at North Shore Gas Company (NSG). NSG is also a subsidiary of the WEC Energy Group. While at NSG, I performed extensive work in gas distribution design using CAD, ESRI and GIS. My other responsibilities included cost estimating, acquiring digging permits, field surveying and managing pipeline replacement projects. I have managed several major Capital construction projects during my time at NSG. Due to the experience I gained at both WEC companies, I have developed a special ability in proactively detecting issues before they arise and become problematic, among many other skills.
