A practical advisor to developing businesses within Intel, Stephen continues to help teams negotiate and close key business agreements efficiently. Stephen works with multiple new ventures in various stages of commercial development. His portfolio has included the product regulatory, privacy/security, IP counseling, licensing, and marketing issues associated with entertainment (drone light shows), geospatial data acquisition and analysis, automotive LiDAR, sensing, RISC-V, accessibility technology, and Fintech. He is recognized for collaborating with his counterparts across Intel and helping new businesses scale. Two of the business units he supported were acquired by Mobileye (NASDAQ: MBLY), and the sale of another was noted in Intel's Q2 2022 earnings. (This business unit was formerly known as "Emerging Growth & Incubation" (EGI)).Since late 2023, Stephen has crossed-trained in the corporate legal group supporting the Subsidiaries, Treasury and Tax teams.

Trademark & Brands team member with a proven record of innovation and collaborative solutions, enforcing a famous trademark around the globe. While he was part of this team, the World Trademark Review (WTR) recognized the Intel trademarks & brands team for excellence twice, most recently as the Technology and Consumer Electronics Team of the Year. Stephen speaks about trademark law (most recently about strategies for China and generally on how trademarks work).

Attorney - Stephen works with transactional practice groups on matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and technology transfers. He works on licensing and assignment issues for start-ups, private, and public companies. Stephen has 10+ years experience in trademark prosecution. He advises clients on domestic and international brand protection strategies, including domain name protection and brand development and enforcement. Stephen has represented clients in federal court and before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). He has experience managing large international trademark portfolios and routinely works on trademark clearance and complex prosecution issues in the USPTO and abroad. He also has experience clearing nonproprietary (generic) drug names and clearing alcohol product labels for submission to TTB-COLA. For several years, Stephen conducted on-campus interviews (OCI) for Jones Day.
