It is possible when every person in every society limits their energy consumption to a maximum of 2000 watts. The society concept is transposed to a certification of neighborhood/precinct called 2000 Watt Areal (site). Until now, around 40 sites has been certified in Switzerland. 2000 W site is an implementation framework for climate neutrality through its qualitative and quantitative assessment criteria. The first pilot to contextualising the framework was done in the Symbiosis Lavale Pune Campus in 2021. The project was supported by Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation and REPIC in Switzerland.
