Assistant to Director for Houston Operations. Research and compile reports on various market conditions in and around the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) area. Since I retired from NASA after 37 years, I am very familiar with the organizational aspect of both JSC and the Kennedy Space Center. I help prepare presentations to various other contractors and government officials regarding the new merger between Orbital Sciences and ATK. Collateral duties include travel coordinator, coordinating meeting schedules and basic office functions.

I initially worked at the KSC Press Site coordinating the media (TV, radio, newspapers) requirements for the STS-95 (John Glenn) launch as well as media logistics for Shuttle launches and unmanned launches. I also organized an online media accreditation system which was used to clear all media (including many foreign nationals) for the Return to Flight mission. I was then transferred to the Guest Services and Special Events Division where I coordinated over 100 VIP tours for military, international, and various other guests; coordinated launch and landing activities for special groups invited to Shuttle launches; was the program coordinator for the Gratuitous Service Employee Program (Public Affairs volunteers); assisted in the coordination of special events around KSC; managed the KSC Speaker’s Bureau; and served as back up to the KSC display and exhibits coordinator.

I managed the flight and maintenance scheduling of the JSC aircraft at the Aircraft Operations Division at Ellington Field which consisted of 33 T-38A’s, four Shuttle Training Aircraft, one G-II, one G-I, two Boeing 747's, two WB-57F's, and one KC-135A aircraft. In this capacity, I scheduled the T-38s which were flown by approximately 120 astronauts and 20 staff pilots matching resources to manpower. I was the sole coordinator of JSC launch and landing aircraft requirements for over 100 Shuttle launches.
