I started working on Local London clients, assisting multiple projects and learning the VRS software product. How to work within the implementation team. Principal Implementation consultant - Robeco I spent approx. 1 year commuting from London to Rotterdam (Weekly) to implement VRS ( Vermilion Reporting Suite) The project was Multi lingual Client reports, combining Product performance feeds and commentary . The Project was successful and included a custom Java module to enable multi-lingual commentary and Report out put. Fun High light was receiving the 2013 Buyside technology award for best implementation VRS at Kleinwort Benson.

Responsibilities for the valuation platform and its back office software continued in a development role, as business functions were integrated into the wider resources of CloseAM. This was essential to reduce costs and risk to the proposition. I used my VBA, SQL and IT skills along with my business process knowledge to deliver key client services.Wider CloseAM projects include helping Chartwells back office and Management Info reporting. Rolling out the Allenbridge CRM to Northwich and Bristol.

My role was to lead the development of the valuation platform for retail ISA and VCT Tax clients under the Operations and IT manager. Over the 4 years I have done extensive coding in Microsoft VBA. The systems support the platform that provides online dealing with CoFunds and an IFA reporting and research service called AllenbridgeCare. This included a wide range of coding in SQL, TSQL and SQL database replication. Some PHP and HTML for the client facing front end called My portfolio. As manager, a rapid and light business solution to the valuation service was required, costs to be reduced by bring business and IT functions in house. I lead the coding and development in MS office based CRM for Admin, Reception and the IMA sector Analysts to use. I used XML price feeds from Moring star, email base price feeds FinEx/TrustNet and VBA code that uses the Bloomberg functions in excel.Coded Excel and Access tools to format, process and report client data from over 120 fund providers such as Fidelity, CoFunds, HSBC, Gartmore, Jupiter approximately 80 VBA modules. My development of software and tools was expanded to cover Tax Shelter department and I coded a VCT analysis graph generator in excel that produced pdfs from the SQL databases performing basic quant. I also coded the valuation tool that produces their reports and data feed to St James. Reduction in costs was highly successful. I enjoyed establishing quality relationships with our third party contractors and supporting the other departments including the Hedge Funds analysts.

Working for an I.F.A (Independent Financial Advisor) in the finance sector. Preparing quarterly portfolio valuations and analysis for approximately 15000 clients. The role involved a lot of Microsoft Access, database work and Excel VBA coding. Tools for data validation, formatting data archiving and mining. I maintained the online portfolio valuation page and supported the IT Department with in house network maintenance. The role involved sourcing information from fund managers and building quality relationships with corporate and private clients.

Projects included;  Commissioning (programming the Nicolet 380) FTIR spectrophotometer and writing Omnic macros with DDE (dynamic data exchange) into Microsoft Excel database templates.  Camsensor web based (TCP/IP) bag machine video quality control system, using Visual basic programming to do the data analysis.  PLC upgrades and performance analysis on CF and servo bag Machines. Commissioning pneumatic tensile tester. Training operators to perform tests and use equipment. Creation of testing templates and Quality control data management.
