Spearheaded the business development department of one of the largest law firms in Malaysia whilst managing the firm’s business development strategy, corporate communications, traditional and social media, public relations, and editorials with the aim of expanding the firm’s presence and strengthening its position as one of the most multi-faceted firms in Malaysia.

Under the business development department of a not-for-profit international body, I was responsible for the branding and presence of the Centre and the conception, strategy and management of its business development initiatives such as events; media and public relations; sponsorships; corporate communications; liaison and correspondences with the international legal fraternity, ministries, members of the judiciary and legal academia, and public officials; management of the Centre’s social media, editorials and publications (writing, editing, proofreading and translation of press releases, articles, newsletters, speeches, etc.); management of its digital presence; and the formulation of global business and marketing strategies and proposals for the Centre’s initiatives.

At this construction law and ADR firm, I provided legal and administrative functions, and branding and business development efforts to strengthen the firm’s position as a boutique construction law firm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Focussed on pieces pertaining to business and law, I took on journalistic assignments for a business newspaper. I had the honour of publishing a feature article on Malaysia SME’s annual flagship event, the MSME Congress 2014, whereby I had the opportunity to conduct interviews with key figures in the industry.

I worked for The Student Lawyer, a London-based online resource centre housing legal articles for both lawyers and law students. My role centred around copy-editing and proofreading legal articles, making sure the facts contained within said articles are credible, and ensuring that they abide by the correct format and legal referencing style.

As a columnist for The Star Editor's Choice, I wrote articles on my opinions on everyday matters on a bi-weekly basis.
