Steven Kaplan is a Project Specialist at The Parkoff Organization. He is proficient in Latin, Italian and Hebrew. Steven's position was established in response to the generosity of an alumni donor who recognized the need for an ambassador during the bustling accounting recruiting season. It is without a doubt that the fall recruiting season wouldn’t have been as successful as it was had it not been for Steven. In one month alone we engaged with 500+ students eager to land roles with top companies. Steven played an instrumental role in getting students excited about companies coming to campus. He has done this by tabling by high traffic areas to get students excited about companies attending. In addition, he has helped grow our Murray Koppelman School of Business Career LinkedIn group to inform students of these opportunities in the digital space. Since he started in July, we have seen the group’s membership double. Steven is a proactive member of the team when it comes to event planning. He comes up with new ways to engage with students and is always considering students in planning. He serves as a subject matter expert for me teaching me the ins and outs of the business realm and how we can leverage it in our student programming and engagement. Recently, Steven has helped me coach students in the form of resume review and mock interviewing. He has picked up on these skills very quickly providing high level feedback, encouraging students to learn with us and helping them be ready for their job search. I am very proud of how much Steven has learned and know he will serve as a mentor to students in the future helping them be ready for their next steps beyond college.
