Project manager within the Real Estate and Development team to further ULC’s mission to provide permanently affordable real estate to the Colorado Community. Responsibilities include site analysis and selection, design, construction and development oversight, and community research to ensure all projects are in alignment with the established strategic plans and goals.

Greater Denver Area

As a project manager, Kara worked on a number of projects throughout Denver acting as the primary owners representative. Notable projects included the United Airlines Flight Training Center, a 24/7 facility that consisted of 32 flight simulators. Kara completed a $130 million of renovation of the existing space and a $55 million ground-up building to house more flight simulators. Kara also served as a landlord representative to complete $11M of repositioning renovations for the downtown Denver Granite Tower. This work included a lobby renovation, fitness center, and several tenant suites throughout the building. Kara’s final project while at JLL was the design and construction for a 150k square foot warehouse/testing/office facility in Colorado Springs valued at roughly $25 million. Kara's role in these projects includes architect and contractor engagement and management, as well as driving the low voltage, furniture, security and audio visual scopes of work.

Associate Project Manager in the Project Development Services Division of JLL. Responsibilities included the management of design and construction for both ground up and tenant improvement projects. Roles include creating budgets with the client, engaging in drawing reviews with the architect, selecting general contractors and managing the day to day details of the construction project through completion.

Assistant Project ManagerAs an APM, Kara’s tasks included estimating, creating budgets for owners, and subcontractor buyout on projects ranging up to $40 million. Project Engineer (January 2015-December 2016)On-Site Project Engineer for the development of a roughly 65 acres of land into multiple office buildings. The overall project is being completed in 2 phases:(1) Westfields Park Center - Park Center I - Extensive sitework package, security design/build, interior fitout and core/shell. - Project valued at ~$125 million. (2) Westfields Park Center - Park Center IV - Managed site clearing, sitework and site utilities in coordination with security design/build. - Project is ongoing and valued at $150-$200 million. - Transferred from VA office to CO office in fall of 2016.
