Addressed physical, mental, emotional, and social health needs of Junior High students by providing healthcare for chronic and acute illness and administering medication.

Developed the school’s health and safety response plans for reopening campus during Covid-19. Collaborated closely with local and state Health Departments as well as pediatricians to bring over 150 students into vaccine compliance after the NYS vaccine mandate law in 2019. Developed and taught a health positive, discussion-based curriculum for grades 9 – 12 exploring aspects of physical, emotional, social and spiritual health within an intersectional framework.

Conducted all facets of care in a Level 1 trauma center including patient assessments, developing, implementing and evaluating care plans, administering medications, and performing phlebotomy.

Launched and coordinated a multi-faceted, medical-legal program to improve healthcare access for transgender patients that included individualized support for clinics wanting to build transgender competency, a transgender medicine clinical rotation, as well as trainings and grassroots policy advocacy coalition building.

Performed vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, in-house diagnostics tests and laboratory procedures, assisted providers with in-office medical procedures, and assisted patients in navigating the healthcare system. Established and coordinated an HIV rapid testing program, assuring the quality of all HIV testing services including testing, data collection, and counseling.

Recruited, trained and coordinated volunteers for day-to-day activities (35+ clinical volunteers) and special events (100+ event volunteers). Revitalized volunteer program by creating graduated clinical “tracks”, volunteer applications and job descriptions.

Provided harm reduction based guidance and services to 85 homeless and runaway HIV+ youth in a comprehensive medical housing program.
