About Kara Stone

After completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at North Dakota State University (NDSU), I joined the faculty at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) as a Visiting Professor. Over four academic years, my core competencies in research and education have been demonstrated through the instruction of both upper and lower-level undergraduate STEM courses, as well as the management and execution of research projects in exercise physiology, public health, and biomechanics.The efforts of our Healthy Aging Research Team at NDSU, the support of UCO’s College of Education and Professional Studies and Dr. Virginia Peter’s Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies, and the combined dedication to academic excellence and transformative learning, led to the creation and publication of over 30 peer-reviewed interdisciplinary studies.
