I am a highly organized, energetic professional with many transferrable skills gained in five years’ insurance industry experience and 13 years of active volunteerism. In my tenure as a Senior Personal Lines Underwriter at State Farm, I used my analytical skills to evaluate risks and make decisions to underwrite personal property and personal liability umbrella policies up to $5M. I trained agents in the various lines of our personal property business, helping them market their products effectively while mitigating losses. I am a relationship builder who easily develops rapport with clients and coworkers; I enjoy training customers and staff members on new products and services. As a volunteer at The Journey Home, I provided computer training for clients, including online bill paying. In my current volunteerism with Amelia’s Closet, I assist women coming from extreme hardship, providing them with business attire and encouragement.
