After dreams of being a reporter, my Bachelor of Journalism degree at Carleton University instead opened by eyes to the world of PR and I enthusiastically found myself in field of communications after graduation. Following a few years in media relations at the Department of National Defence, I found a fit in digital marketing at High Road in Toronto, where I started as an Account Executive in 2011. Five and a half years and a few promotions later, I left the company as an Account Director leading cross-channel, integrated accounts like 3M, Virgin Mobile, FedEx Canada, and First National Financial.Now, at Penguin Random House Canada, as Director, Integrated Marketing I oversee our advertising, marketing execution, event, digital product, marketing analytics and consumer acquisition/email teams. Every day I get to marry my love of books with my interest in data and performance marketing. In 2016, I had the honour of being named to Marketing Magazine's 30 Under 30, which was easily the highlight of my career.
