I'm a creative and analytical problem-solver and have developed a very diverse skillset, thanks to to working for companies that need employees to "wear many hats" rather than stick to one role. My experience includes project management, bookkeeping, data management, website content maintenance, email marketing, and about twenty years of experience in a general administrative capacity. I thrive on problem-solving and making sense out of chaos, and am strongly driven to see projects through to completion as efficiently as possible. Adept at finding gaps and wrapping up loose ends. Through my experience training others, I’ve developed a knack for viewing subjects from multiple perspectives and breaking down complex topics. Though I can easily work on my own with minimal oversight, I'm always happy to jump into new projects and help teammates. I love research and learning new technologies - it keeps me on my toes! As an example, while working for the corporate office of a franchise, I realized that the outdated monthly reporting method (most often paper - yikes!) for franchisees was really holding things back. Staff had to re-type this info into internal spreadsheets each month for the management team to review. After researching options and finding that bigger franchise solutions did not fit our budget, I recommended a DIY database platform as a stepping stone. Without any specific experience in this arena, I designed, built, and implemented an online platform for franchisees to enter their monthly data. I also built in tables and charts to aggregate, filter, and display entered information for internal staff use. Not only did this allow company leadership to easily see stats at a glance, it also saved hours of staff time monthly and facilitated easier follow-up on non-compliant franchisees. Though working through creating the right database connections and complex calculations was sometimes tough starting out, I found the whole process interesting and somehow....fun? I found it very rewarding to contribute something useful to the company that both modernized and streamlined operations. I look forward to making similar contributions wherever I may land in the future!
