I’ve spent my career immersed in marketing, brand and communications – in one form or another across five different countries, covering developed to emerging markets. I'm a jack-of-all trades when it comes to communications and marketing; traversing between internal to external and across social, digital and traditional media to answer an organisation's biggest challenge: How do you influence and inspire people by changing their beliefs, values and perceptions? My greatest lesson in my career is that it’s not enough to just have big ideas. You need to be able to sell them and truly engage stakeholders on the journey to bring about change.Over the last 18 years, I've enjoyed being part of the employer branding movement and shaping its future. The real power is all about understanding how to engage, communicate and align from the inside out; from the top-down and from side-to-side. It's all about seeing the magic that lies in the stories of people and bringing them to life. I'm passionate about pushing brands out of their comfort zone to truly innovate and transform. I love turning the way you do content on its head and refuse to do the status quo, or what's been tried, tested and worse - the way it's always been done. My ultimate goal, my why is simply to bring joy to those who engage with the work that I do. If you smile out loud, then I know my work is done! I also love to teach. I'm a textbook Clifton Strengths' 'developer': The signs of growth in others is my fuel. Whether it's showing my friends how to do ink art paintings, coaching colleagues on EB strategy or giving away EVP hacks wholesale - it's all about helping others to do and be more. And as tutor at the UNSW I'm able to bring this to life in every way possible.
