I head the Finance Team in IMC Trading India. My responsibilities at IMC include ensuring smooth running of Finance operations, financial planning and analysis, tax optimization, cash / liquidity management, financial statements, cost management and drive automation. Before IMC I worked in Deloitte India office where my key responsibilities included tax and regulatory services to Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs), Algo Trading firms, Foreign Private Equity Funds and local Alternative Investment Funds. My clients included some of the largest fund houses from US and Europe. I started in Deloitte with a 2 member team and my team had 55 members when I exited. I was a part of the working group constituted by SEBI to rationalize FPI regime inPrior to joining Deloitte, I worked with Standard Chartered Bank in their Securities Services Department in various functions including operations, compliance, client services, product control and operational risk.I enjoy working with people within and outside the organisation, be it peers, superiors, regulators, clients or investors. Being a Chartered Accountant, I am very comfortable with numbers and have a natural tendency to spot anomalies. I also like interpreting laws / regulations and setting up internal processes to comply with changes in law or regulations.
