About Kara Simmons
Greetings! I am a third year Biology Major and Spanish Minor at Tennessee State University, where I am a member of the Honors College and the Undergraduate Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (U-RISE). I am involved with the Minority Association of Premedical Students, Leadership TSU Cohort VII, and the HCASC Quiz Bowl Team. I am a Spring 2024 Initiate of the Alpha Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I volunteer with Alive Hospice, Nashville Diaper Connection, and the Nashville Humane Association in the local areas.Outside of my on-campus involvements, I am the founder of kNOw Limits Foundation, a nonprofit organization that serves youth online and provides peer tutoring and other academic resources free of charge. After undergoing the college admissions process and seeing the many opportunities I missed because I simply was not exposed to them, I made it my mission to more aggressively grow kNOw Limits so that we can reach as many students as possible.
